Medical transports are used for both emergency and non-emergency situations. Transportation happens between the patient and the hospital so that the patient can arrive and receive the treatment necessary for a proper, safe, and quick recovery. Sometimes, medical transportation requires the use of air transports, because the medical transport is able to reach the patient for a variety of reasons, such as obscure or damaged land (due to natural disasters), or that the patient needs to arrive at a hospital faster. Whatever the case may be, that is why Southwest Air Ambulance arranges the services that we do.
We also offer a medical escort program to those patients who are able to fly commercially.
Transportation can be arranged domestically or internationally with a:
- air ambulance button flight physician
- ambulance button critical care nurse (CCRN)
- air ambulance 2 first responder paramedic
The only requirement is that the patient has to be able to sit up.
Our medical escorts insure a comfortable, caring, and professional trip. Our disbatchers can also coordinate hotels, ground transportation, and assistance during stops.
